Biography

Danielle Friesen (b. 1997, Winnipeg, MB) is an emerging Bajan-Canadian artist currently based in Halifax, NS. She holds a diploma in Graphic Design from Red River College (2019) and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (2025).

Rooted in drawing and abstraction, Danielle investigates repeated mark-making and action, following a process-led approach where the work unfolds through doing. Her practice engages with the fleeting and intuitive aspects of experience. Not knowing and the potential for surprise are central to how she works.
